The Standing Rock Sioux Nation is located in central parts of both North & South Dakota and is comprised of Lakȟóta and Dakȟóta bands. The tribe has more than 16,000 enrolled members, although less than half (6,400 members), live within the exterior boundaries of the Nation.
The Standing Rock Community Development Corporation (CDC) was first established in December 2016. Incorporating as a non-profit under the State of North Dakota. The (CDC) envisions a future with sustainable, healthy community built on the values of the Lakȟóta and Dakȟóta people on the Standing Rock Sioux
