Office Manager

Position Overview

The Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office ensuring efficient and effective operations and coordinating all issues affecting the daily operations of the office.

The Office Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director to ensure the needs of the office and our members are met in a timely manner.

This position reports to the SRCDC Executive Director.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Compensation: $40,000-$52,000, depending on experience and performance of duties.

Full-time, hourly, non-exempt, not to exceed 40 hours per week during 60-day probationary period. Salary adjustment may be made after probationary period ends.

Position Responsibilities

The following position responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with minimal supervision:

  • Ensure efficient daily office operations, handling a range of tasks from IT, phone, copier and related office needs; printing projects, etc.
  • Manage employee benefits.
  • Assist the management and staff with miscellaneous projects as requested.
  • Responsible for basic financial management duties.
  • Research grant applications and identify key reports for funders.
  • Maintains the database for client and donor contact/relationship management.
  • Manage all communication as identified by ED.
  • Provide additional program assistance, as needed (i.e. facilitator paperwork updating).
  • Schedule conferences, trainings and special events as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of community, culture, and language.
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications including, Excel, Word, Constant Contact, and Prezi.
  • Knowledge of In Design, Access database, and Publisher desired.
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping and office management or equivalent position with similar responsibilities described above.
  • Two-year college degree desired with administrative experience.

Youth Program Manager

Position Overview

The Youth Program Manager (YPM) of the Standing Rock Community Development Corporation (SRCDC) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Youth Development Initiative.

The manager will ensure efficient and effective operations in establishing the strategic plan for the youth on Standing Rock. The YPM will be responsible for the oversight of training youth interns and organizing educational activities. The YPM will implement innovative solutions for the communities to achieve healthy lifestyles and individual responsibility.

The main component of this position is developing a Strategic Plan for the Youth on Standing Rock from a grass roots level led by the youth themselves.

This position reports to the SRCDC Executive Director.

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the Youth Development Initiative and mentoring the YPM Interns into the organization.
  • Responsible for coordinating opening and closing prayers for meetings and gatherings.
  • Responsible for designing Youth Development Initiative theory of change.
  • Assist the leadership and community engagement teams with funder/donor/investment and stakeholder tours of Standing Rock CDC.
  • Implement programming for organizing development, Multigenerational programming with elders, Entrepreneurial education and Language/Culture education.
  • Assist the Deputy Director and other staff with miscellaneous projects as requested.
  • YPM Manager will be responsible for oversight of youth training and activities.
  • The YPM Manager will use their experience and expertise to grow and sustain the Standing Rock CDC Youth Development Initiative, through the creation and implementation of various plans (listed in outputs) in order to empower our youth in becoming solution makers and sustainable youth programing on Standing Rock.
  • Represent the organization publicly in meetings, events, answer inquiries and general questions about Standing Rock CDC at all cultural gatherings.
  • Receive, organize, research, upload and track online grant applications and grant reports.
  • Write, coordinate and distribute all grant award letters and disbursements.
  • Responsible for grant online application process.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of community, culture, and language.
  • Adept public speaker/teacher with the ability to plan, market/advertise, teach, and oversee applicable community classes/workshops, tours, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with community members, funders, visitors, and media/press.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and adept in email/online navigation.
  • Experienced in basic IT, website and social media usage.
  • Two-year college degree desired with managerial experience.
